People & Culture

HR & Staff Management

Building a team of compassionate, skilled, and values-driven companions and care professionals. Our recruitment and onboarding processes are designed to attract the right people and set them up for success.

Recruitment

We recruit for values first, skills second. Every CAREHOPES team member is selected for their warmth, reliability, and genuine commitment to the people they support.

01

Application & Expression of Interest

Candidates submit an application outlining their experience, motivations, and values. We look for alignment with the CAREHOPES ethos from the very first contact.

02

Initial Screening

A structured telephone or video screening to explore the candidate's background, availability, and suitability for the role. We discuss expectations openly on both sides.

03

Values-Based Interview

An in-depth interview focused on values, scenarios, and situational judgement. We assess empathy, communication, resilience, and commitment to person-centred care.

04

References & DBS Check

We obtain two professional references and carry out an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check for all roles involving contact with vulnerable adults.

05

Right to Work Verification

All candidates must provide valid documentation confirming their right to work in the United Kingdom in accordance with current legislation.

06

Offer & Contract

Successful candidates receive a written offer and employment contract clearly setting out their role, responsibilities, pay, and terms of engagement.

Onboarding

Our onboarding programme ensures every new team member feels welcomed, prepared, and confident before they begin supporting clients. It combines mandatory training, practical orientation, and ongoing mentorship.
